Lakeside Ranch STA




Lakeside Ranch Stormwater Treatment Area is a series or large wetlands in western Martin County adjacent to Lake Okeechobee. This 2,700 acre recreation area is open to the public to enjoy hiking, bicycling, wildlife viewing or simply relaxing. If you are interested in birding, Lakeside Ranch is the place to visit. From hawks and bald eagles in the surrounding trees, to the diversity of wading birds in the vast wetlands, you won’t be disappointed!

- Secondary shell-rock parking are with port-o-let toilets (see map here)
- Secondary parking area has two picnic shelters located along the levee hiking trails.

During the winter and spring months, the Audubon of Martin County conducts programs at Lakeside Ranch including Birding ID and photography.
