Hobe Sound Mural Tour

In 2009 the city of Hobe Sound started a "paint-the-town" initiative, which has since grown with 19 murals on various buildings along Dixie Hwy, Federal Hwy, and Bridge Road. Over 70 members have been involved with this project and 41 professional artists have put their brushes on these walls. These walls feature tropical scenes of Martin County, trains, puzzles, and various other images.  Year-round there are private tours and self-guided tours, just pick up a map at the Hobe Sound Chamber and rent a bike or drive your car! A very special tour event will occur On November 13th. This tour is only held once this year and is led by professional artists.

Seating is limited to 30 guests, so RSVP is required.

Illuminating the Deep

Created by Dr. Edie Widder and Dr. Steve Bernstein, it will give adults and youngsters alike the opportunity to explore and discover some of the bizarre and wonderful creatures from our planet's last frontier, even while they learn how to preserve and protect the ocean and deep sea marine life for future generations.

There will be stunning digitally-enhanced art photographs of elusive deep sea creatures which create bioluminescence.

The exhibit will allow visitors the chance to explore the true size of the giant squid. Additionally, a model of a Kilroy, which is collecting real-time date from the Indian River Lagoon will be on display, as well as an impact wall where visitors can read and share ideas about how to preserve water ways.

Description: In honor of being named the "Pineapple Capitol of the World," a three day music festival is held in the streets of Downtown Jensen Beach. The market and "Junkanoo Parade" is even ran by an actual delegation from the Bahamas island of Eleuthera. The headliners feature a unique mix of rock, reggae, and country, they include Chase Bryant, Big Smo, and The Brilanders. Many packages and weekend promotions are available for this event. Pineapple Festival

An inexpensive festival, admission to this event is $5 in advance and $7 at the gate; proceeds will benefit the Rivers Coalition, a non-profit organization striving to stop discharges from Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie River. This one of a kind festival will feature around the delicious fresh seafood of the Treasure Coast. There will be live entertainment, the headliners being the Moska Project and Fresh Catch. These are two local bands that you don't want to miss! If you plan on bringing children take them on one of the exciting family rides! Are you a collector or just enjoy the sea? Nautical vendors will be set up throughout the park showcasing art, jewelry, clothing, and other coastal related crafts.

Dance is one of the most basic forms of expression humans use as a release of energy and exuberance. From the earliest composers to today's pop music, dance is at the heart of most music. This program features major compositions with ethnic dances woven into the pieces.

From the Italian Tarantella, to the Hungarian Gypsy dance, to the Viennese waltz, to the formal ballet, "Dances" illustrates the passion and beauty of this art form.

Educating to preserve, create, and celebrate our musical heritage, the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony has served our community as one of its finest musical arts organizations for young musicians and orchestra audiences since 1987.
